Q. What is your company?
A. Forex Cargo is a licensed and bonded ocean transport intermediary, Non-Vessel Common Carrier (OTI-NVOCC) that specializes in the transport of household goods and personal effects to the Philippines, via ocean cargo.  The cargo business was established in the USA in 1987 and now serves the shipping needs of the Global Filipino in 4 continents.

A. Rates differ according to the size of the box.

There is an additional $5- $10 handling fee for repacking, consolidating smaller items into a bigger box. Furthermore, additional charges will apply if packages need to be picked up from a house or a supplier. Charges will depend on factors like the size of the box, area where the box will be picked up, readiness of the box, or if the items need to be repacked and consolidated.

These rates apply to Metro Manila deliveries only.  Deliveries to provinces are available for an extra charge, depending on its destination.

Q. Can you store items in you warehouse?
A. We have a storage policy for storing your items. We can collect and store your orders/packages for you for up to 30 days . If you don't request to ship by then, we charge a storage fee of $10 per month until your box is shipped.

Q. Is there a weight limit?
A. Since we ship by ocean, there is technically no weight limit.  However, we recommend that the boxes can at least be carried or handled by 2 people, for the safety of your boxes.

Q. Will I be taxed for my shipment?
A. You will not be taxed in US or in Manila.  The charges we quote are inclusive of taxes and Customs documentation. 

Certain items, however, require a tariff charge.  You may call or e-mail us ( forexcal@forexdkm.com , forexdc@forexdkm.com or at customercare@forexworld.com ) to inquire about these items (e.g. appliances, electronics and other high-end items).

Q. How long does shipping take? How often do you load?
A. From the time that the item/s are received in our US (LA) warehouse, via ocean cargo:

4-5 Weeks for Metro Manila deliveries
6-8 Weeks for Provincial deliveries

We load 5-8 containers a week, more when needed.

A. For shopping services, your Forexworld account has to be pre-funded and the replenishment of this account is done by depositing to the following account:

Q. How do I go about doing this?
A. There are two types of orders to be placed:
  1. ONLINE SHOPPING orders - Ordering through shop.forexworld.us
  2. Drop Ship orders - Shop online and Deliver to Forexworld warehouse

WE ORDER AND SHIP FOR YOU – (ONLINE SHOPPING)

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Tell Us What You Want
    • Browse through online stores e.g. Ebay, Amazon, BestBuy, Yahoo, Barnes & Noble.com and other online stores and login to your Forexworld account and click " Place a New Order ", from here, click “Add Item” copy/paste the following details in the appropriate field:
      1. Item Description
      2. URL of the item
      3. USD Amount of the item being ordered
      4. Quantity
    • Click on Save to save changes made.
  3. Wait for Confirmation or Approval
    • A customer representative will contact you through phone or email if your orders have been verified, approved and are ready for processing.
  4. Pre-pay in BDO
    • Add funds to your http://shop.forexworld.us account by making a deposit to Forexworld's Banco de Oro account at any Banco De Oro branch.
  5. Wait for your Order
    • After payment has been received through http://shop.forexworld.us  system, your orders will be processed and shipped to your specified address.

    It is important that your name is on the shipping label so we know it is for you.  Please note that there is no need to put Forex Cargo on the delivery label. Just use your name .

  2. Login to your Forexworld account in http://shop.forexworld.us .
    • Click “Place a New Order” and specify the order type. In this case, select “ Drop Ship .”
    • Then give us the details of your order by clicking on “Add Item”:
        1. Item Description
        2. Store/Supplier Name
        3. Shipment Origin
        4. Estimated Date/Time of Arrival
      • Wait for a Customer Service Representative to contact you, through phone or email.

    *Note: This would notify us in advance regarding packages that we should expect in our warehouse.
    As mentioned earlier, your packages can be repacked and consolidated into one of our boxes to save you on shipping costs.  We will inform you by email as soon as your packages arrive in our warehouse. We will also let you know the size of the box we will use to pack your items, plus the cost of shipping that can range from $25 - $75.

  3. Pre-pay in BDO

    Add funds to your http://shop.forexworld.us account by making a deposit to Forexworld's Banco de Oro account at any BDO branch.

  4. Wait for your Order

    After payment has been received through the http://shop.forexworld.us system and items have been delivered from the supplier to one of our US warehouses, it will be processed and upon completion and items ready for shipping and delivery to your specified address, we will issue you an invoice which will also include your tracking number.

Q. Will my ordered items be delivered in its original packaging?
A. Orders will be shipped in its original packaging from your suppliers. Forexworld reserves the right to open and inspect all orders delivered to their warehouses to make sure that no package contains any prohibited goods. This applies to both online shop orders and drop ship packages.

Q. Where can I have my box delivered?
A. We can ship to almost anywhere in the Philippines.  We prefer to deliver to a residential address instead of a business address as deliveries often begin before and end after most office hours.

Q. Can I purchase extra Insurance to cover total value of shipment?
A. Our boxes are insured for $100 to $500 depending on the size of the box used for shipping. Additional insurance may be purchased at a cost of $5 per $100 insurance coverage.

Q. Can I purchase electronics and big ticket items?
A. Yes, we ship electronics and big ticket items. To get a quote, please inform us through email (customercare@forexworld.com) the nature of your item and the dimensions (L x W x H) of its shipping box so we can give you the shipping rate. We encourage you to buy extra insurance for such items to cover loss or damages.

Q. Are there Refunds or Warranties for the items ordered?
A. Forex Online Shopping does not offer any refunds or warranties of its own. Furthermore buyers are responsible for the shipping cost back to the US if they want to avail of the supplier's warranty Items you buy abroad may be subject to warranty but Forex Online Shopping is not responsible for items not being functional when delivered.

Q. How can I get a refund on my unused funds?
A. You may cash out unused funds anytime by:
Calling our customer service representative/s.
This will trigger a check being made to your registered name which can be mailed to your registered address or which you can pick-up at our offices.

In addition, our customer service representative/s may suggest depositing these funds to your account to avoid the hassle of waiting for the check to be mailed or to avoid the hassle of travelling.
